Teaching Film – A Possible Approach
- Watch the film in its entirety
- Break the film up into a series of manageable sequences
- Choose a sequence from the film being studied – approx 10 minutes
- Allow the students to view the piece
- Give instructions for focused viewing
- Follow with class discussion/assignment
- Particular attention should be paid to sequences containing Key Moments
